Teen Program Descriptions

Special Teen Programs

Look for at least one new teen program each month. From cooking to crafts, from costumes to art, we like to mix things up. Don't see anything you like? Feel free to contact us with a suggestion.

Monthly Programs

  • Chess Club - Join other chess players to improve your game and challenge yourself. For kids ages 8-18, please call to register. Teens can earn volunteer hours by attending and playing with younger kids, offering strategy and support. Games are run informally and players are matched up as they become available.
  • Dungeons and Dragons - Our long-running quest has limited space, so please call to join the waiting list.

Volunteer Opportunities

Teens are welcome to volunteer for our library programs. Just stop by the library and pick up a form for yourself and your parent to sign. Once your form is complete, contact Miss Chrissy at 330-872-1282 ext. 3 or chrissybraun@newtonfalls.org to set up a schedule.

What can you do as a volunteer? You can work directly with younger kids during programs. You’ll help younger children complete crafts, run game stations or help clean up after large events. You can also enjoy a program while volunteering by joining us for Chess Club. You can participate in the program, while providing support for younger players. If you’d rather volunteer without interacting with younger children, just set up a schedule with Miss Chrissy to work on your own, setting up crafts, cleaning supplies and organizing the collection.
